Abstract

Deskripsi: The Binoh village is location is surrounding sub district of west Denpasar. The Binoh village location is closed with Sempidi village at west side, Ubung Kelod village at south side, and Peguyangan village at east side. The Binoh village has two areas (group of neighbrorhoods), it is Binoh Kaja and Binoh Kelod. The artisan that live in this village are still very tradisional artisan, that delegate from one generation to other generation. Most of the artisan in this village is old woman and they have family too. Their husband usually a farmer at their rice field and usually help his wife to bring the earthenware craft to burner place until finished burning process. The problem that carried out at this research is “factor-factor that push the woman to doing earthenware work and challenge that get by artisan to growing up their busness”. Based on direct research, used observation method and direct communication, so this problem can be solved. The factor that push the woman to doing this job because education reason ( the most of artisan is only graduate from elementary school), difficult to find job that match with their capablility, economic reason such as not enough rice field they have, so it is live needed can not to much get. The last reason is the time can flexible, so they can integration with their responsibility become mother of family. The problem that get by the artisan is material, that must get from other place, technology, design not variety, and marketing (since a lot come of earthenware from Java and Lombok that more have good design).
