Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is aimed at creating an innovation in teaching Javanese dance by using Indonesian and English for students of ISI Denpasar especially international class, in an effort to strengthen the steps of ISI Denpasar in the international level. Some terms and terminologies associated with Javanese dance are described in English on the results of this study . It is very significant benefit in the teaching-learning process of Javanese dance for foreign students. This paper is a part of the result of competitive research grants funded by ISI Denpasar DIPA Number : DIPA-023-04.1.673453/2015 dated March 3, 2015. The method apllied is the translation research methods which is started with collecting all the terms related to Javanese dance, then translated into English. Furthermore, the translation results are tested in teaching dance to students majoring in Dance department and foreign students who are studying at ISI Denpasar .
