Abstract

Abstrak Disabilitas adalah fenomena sosial yang terjadi di banyak tempat termasuk Bali. Film pendek fiksi “Tutur Sunyi” adalah sebuah karya seni yang mengangkat persoalan disabilitas di Pulau Dewata. Karya film ini merupakan hasil studi terhadap kehidupan kelompok masyarakat yang beberapa orangnya memiliki keterbatasan fisik ataupun mental. Film pendek fiksi “Tutur Sunyi” merupakan hasil kreativitas seni melalui proses-proses seperti eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan komposisi. Keindahan film “Tutur Sunyi” dikemas dengan konsep natural dan penambahan beberapa unsur efek visual sebagai infografik. Pencipta menemukan adanya kesenjangan dan juga sikap atau perilaku dalam konteks negatif masyarakat Bali terhadap mereka-mereka yang memiliki keterbatasan fisik maupun mental. Karya ini diciptakan sebagai sebuah kritik sosial yang dirasakan oleh pencipta terhadap fenomena disabilitas yang terjadi. Dengan kritik melalui sebuah karya film ini pencipta bertujuan untuk membangun kesadaran sosial masyarakat Bali terhadap fenomena yang ada, sehingga tidak ada lagi kesenjangan yang terjadi antara masyarakat dan pendangan disabilitas khususnya di Bali. Short film fiction "Tutur Sunyi" is a work of art that raised the issue of disability on the Island of the Gods. The work of this film is the result of a study of the life of a group of people whose few people have physical or mental limitations. The short fiction film "The Silent Spell" is the result of artistic creativity through processes such as exploration, improvisation, and composition. The beauty of the movie "Tutur Sunyi" is packed with natural concepts and the addition of some elements of visual effects as an infographic. The Creator finds gaps and attitudes or behaviors in the negative context of Balinese towards those with physical and mental limitations. This work was created as a social critic felt by the creator of the disability phenomenon that occurred. With criticism through a work of this film the creator aims to build the social awareness of the Balinese society against the existing phenomenon, so that there is no more gap between society and the disability supporters, especially in Bali.
