Abstract

Abstrak Karya garapan komposisi karawitan Uluning Segara ini terinspirasi dari keindahan alam yang ada di Desa Seganing, Nusa Penida yaitu air (mata air) yang jatuh di permukaan laut. Air merupakan zat atau unsur yang sangat penting bagi semua kehidupan yang ada di dunia. Sedangkan laut atau segara merupakan sumber amerta kehidupan. Begitu juga sebaliknya sumber mata air yang ada di Desa Seganing merupakan sumber kehidupan dimasa lalu sampai sekarang. Mengangkat ide tersebut penata ingin mentranspormasikannya menjadi sebuah garapan komposisi karawitan tabuh kreasi baru dengan mengembangka unsur-unsur yang diinovasi. Dalam penggarapan suatu karya seni, tentu tidak akan bisa terlaksana kalau tidak melakukan suatu proses, karena proses penggarapan merupakan hal yang harus dimulai untuk menentukan keberhasilan sebuah karya seni. Adapun tiga tahapan yang harus dilalui sebuah penciptaan yaitu tahap penjajagan (eksplorasi), tahap percobaan (improvisasi), dan tahap pembentukan (forming). Dalam tahap penjajagan penata mulai dari awal yaitu pencarian ide, kemudian setelah pencarian ide ada tahapan kedua yaitu percobaan yaitu menuangkan konsep melalui improvisasi dan tahap pembentukan penata mulai menuangkan gending yang didapatkan ke pendukung. Garapan ini berbentuk tabuh kreasi yang berjudul Uluning Segara. Tabuh kreasi merupakan bentuk garapan atau ciptaan gending-gending atau tabuh-tabuh komposisi karawitan Bali yang sepenuhnya merupakan hasil dari proses kreativitas seorang komposer. Seperti halnya dalam penggarapan tabuh kreasi baru, sesuai dengan fenomena, konsep, bentuk maupun ide garap dalam hal ini penata akan menggunakan media ungkap barungan gamelan Gong Kebyar sebagai sarana untuk mendukung garapan komposisi tabuh kreasi Uluning Segara. Kata kunci : Uluning Segara, Tabuh Kreasi Baru. In the strater assessment stage starting from the beginning of the idea of searching, then after the search idea there is a second stage of the experiment is pouring concepts through improvisation and stratum stage formation began to pour gending obtained to supporters. . This cultivation is a river named Uluning Segara. Creation Tabuh is a form of garapan or gending gising or composition of the gamelan music of Balinese gamelan which is entirely the result of creativity of a composer. Just as in the cultivation of new creations, in accordance with the phenomenon, concepts, forms and work ideas in this case the stylist will use Barungan Gong Kebyar media that shows the gamelan as a means to support the creation of the composition of percussion of Uluning Segara.
