ABSTRAK Musik inovatif adalah musik penggabungan dari beberapa instrument musik yang memiliki rasa musikal yang berbeda-beda. Musik inovatif yang muncul dari mood atau suasana hati penata sendiri yang sekaligus mempengaruhi unsur musikal dari garapan karya musiknya. Suasana hati sang penata yang dipengaruhi oleh dua unsur mood yaitu mood musik Bali dan mood musik barat. Dari kedua unsur mood musik ini penata berkeinginan untuk menyatukan kedua unsur mood musik ini menjadi satu kesatuan. Konsep dua mood ini ingin penata realisasikan ke dalam sebuah bentuk garapan musik inovatif yang terdiri dari instrument gender wayang Bali, suling Bali, bass, gitar dan cajon. Dengan mempelajari teknik dan rasa musikal dari setiap instrument ini penata ingin menggabungkan teknik dan rasa instrument dari ke lima instrument ini menjadi kesatuan nada-nada yang harmoni. Judul dari karya musik ini adalah mood circle yang berarti lingkaran suasana hati. Lingkaran suasana hati ini bisa diartikan seperti perasaan penata yang merasa terjebak dan berputar-putar di dalam lingkaran mood atau suasana hati musik Bali dan musik barat. Terkadang penata merasa bosan bermain gamelan Bali dan beralih bermain ke musik barat seperti gitar dan bass, begitu juga sebaliknya ketika penata sudah bosan bermain musik barat penata akan beralih bermain gamelan Bali lagi. Kemudian dari perasaan bosan tersebut penata merasa terus berputar-putar di dalam lingkaran musik Bali dan musik barat. Pada moment ini penata ingin menghentikan perputaran rasa bosan ini dan menggabungkan kedua mood musik ini menjadi satu kesatuan. Karya musik inovatif mood circle ini berdurasi kurang lebih 13 menit dan dipentasakan di panggung Natya Mandala ISI Denpasar dengan bentuk konser. Struktur garapan dari karaya musik ini menggunakan struktur bagian yang terdiri dari tiga bagian. Kata kunci : musik, inovatif, mood, suasana hati. Abstract Innovative music is a musical incorporation of several musical instruments that have different musical flavors. Innovative music that emerges from the mood or mood of the stylist itself, which at the same time influences the musical elements of the work of his music. The mood of the stylist is influenced by the two elements of the mood of the mood of Bali music and the mood of western music. Of the two elements of this musical mood stylist wants to unify the two elements of the mood of this music into a unity. The concept of these two moods wants the realizers to be in an innovative musical style which consists of Bali puppet gender instrument, Balinese flute, bass, guitar and cajon. By learning the techniques and musical flavors of each instrument, the stylists want to combine the techniques and flavors of the instruments from these five instruments into a harmony of harmony. The title of this piece of music is the mood circle which means mood circle. This mood circle can be interpreted as a sense of stylist who felt trapped and spun within the circle of mood or mood of Balinese music and western music. Sometimes stylists feel bored playing Balinese gamelan and switch to play western music such as guitar and bass, and vice versa when stylists are tired of playing western music stylist will switch to play Balinese gamelan again. Then from the feeling of boredom the stylist felt continued to spin in the circle of Balinese music and western music. At this moment the stylists want to stop this boredom cycle and combine these two moods into one unified music. Creation innovative mood circle music lasted approximately 13 minutes and felt on stage Natya Mandala ISI Denpasar with a concert form.
