Abstract
Abstract: Balinese Baris Tunggal dance is not so much strict in its dance choreografhy. Its vocabularies of movement are dominated by a number dance movements that are often repeated in harmony with it’s the music of its accompanying gamelan. However, they still within the Balinese tradisional dance movement patterns. The results of this research project shows that it is foundf that not less that twenty nine(29) vocabulary of movements existing in this Balinese dance genre. Seen from their characteristics, these dance movement are mostly focussed on arm and leg movement. The terms used are almost all originated from Balinese common words. Their ideas and inspirations are mostly taken from the human world, only a small number are taken from that of animal.
