Abstract
Pedanda Baka is a fable that is part of the Tantri story. Tells about the rottenness of a heron who pretends to be a priest in order to prey on a flock of animals in a lake that is starting to recede. But in the end his disgrace was uncovered by a crab who took his life with a claw on his neck. A story with a myriad of lessons that are very relevant to life in the present that many people pretend to show themselves as heroes but actually only for the satisfaction of their “pockets and stomachs”.
