Abstract
Water is essential in the life of all living beings, so appreciation for water occurs in various places including in Perth, Western Australia and in Bali, Indonesia in their own way. The appreciation for water and the iconic Swan river in the city of Perth, Western Australia sparked the creation of a collaboration between the author and Como Secondary College students. This creation responds to water in painting and installation art. The problem that arises is how to realize the concept of water in painting and installation art? The method used in this creation departs from the method of creating dance by Alma M. Hawkins which consists of exploration, improvisation, forming and participatory, collaborative learning methods that are adapted to the process of creating painting and installation art. The final result of the creation is a work of installation art and painting which is exhibited at the Performing Arts Foyer, Como Secondary College, Como, Perth, Western Australia. Artworks and the dissemination of works are discussed, analyzed based on the theory of art creation and art learning. Keywords: water, creation, fine arts, collaboration, Bali-Perth
