Abstract
The Face is the part of the human body that is most often used to communicate, express stories or show emotions. Through facial expressions, it is possible to understand the emotions that are fluctuating within a person or even to know a person’s personality. Because facial expressions or expressions are actually a form of nonverbal communicaton which is the result of one or more muscle movements on the face that can convey emotional states. The face has a very complex structure and has its own characteristics. From these characteristics, faces store important information that can be used to predict gender, race, age, etc. Each age stage of human development is grouped into four, namely children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. As we age, the human face also experiences fundamental changes such as more wrinkles, changes in cheekbones and the distance between key facial features such as the eyes, nose and mouth.
