Abstract

The silver handicrafts in Celuk village, has been developing well since the the development of silver handicrafts in Bali is increasing. At the beginning, the goods are only for the ritual and social equipments namely; bokor, dulang, canting, sangku, penastaan, and sibuh, which has religious sacred and for the society, badong, bracelet, traditional earring, danganan keris, ring, earrings and so on. Along with the development of the tourism in Bali, the needs are also increasing as the materials for the arts such as paintings, sculptures, include the silver handicrafts, and automatically give the positive impacts to the artists and silversmith in Bali especially for the people in Celuk village, Sukawati, Gianyar regency. This condition is used by the people in Celuk village to create and improve their artworks by producing some innovatives artworks, efficient, creatives, aesthetic, profane, social economy, which can be able to fulfill the consuments needs, not only for Balinese, but also for the foreign tourists (global market). Keyword: Bokor, dulang and canting.
