Abstract
Ornamental Design is one of the parts of Fine Art, of which the development has experienced changes in Bali since 1920 – 1930. In the past, traditional and artistic painting is called Balinese traditional classic art, in which the forms emphasize on the expression of puppet mythology containing symbolic values and aesthetic, functioning as decoration of temples, religious ceremonial tools, and decoration for royal equipment; therefore it is devotion in nature both spiritual as well as social. Level of success on the application of ornamental design and traditional artistic painting of creative workmanship (Kriya Kreatif) based on the result of measurement of total samples on carving workmanship (Kriya Kreatif), sculpture, artistic painting, textile and ceramic was procured 1714 points (81.62%) higher than the average sample value in the amount of 1050 (50%), so it can be considered that the development and application of ornamental design and traditional artistic painting promote and support the development of creative workmanship (Kriya Kreatif).
