Abstract
The internal relations of Hindus within a particular social group are expressed in religious rites that provide a place for social and cultural strength as a “symbol for spiritual liberation.” On the other hand, followers of the Hindu religion abide by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, which require all citizens to develop a strong sense of nationalism founded on principles of multi-culturalism that is based on ethnic, cultural, traditional, and religious diversity. The ethical values of a religious rite reflect political implications for followers of the Hindu religion, both internally and externally. The internal implications are to build the power of social solidarity for strengthening the socio-religious and socio-cultural existence of Hindus within the Indonesian Republic. The external implications are to radiate the magnetic aestheticization of rituals for Hindus and mankind throughout the world. This is a sample of life as a member of the nation, founded on a philosophy of social humanism for the existence of multi-cultural facts. The implications of this are the endurance of cultural values and the mentality of members of the Hindu religion from one age to the next, within continually changing social situations.
