Abstract
In Balinese traditional architecture, form, space, and measurement is caused by the function .All activities will need the spaces to accommodate them. More changes of activities occurred more changes of the space required to accommodate .At this time, function and form of the traditional Balinese housing has been moving by its lay out and the tradition value, it is caused by the limited of land, high price and the economic growth of Bali. The movement is not only occurred in the city, but also spread over the village area. The limited land and space is not making the limitation to the the needs of human being to build the traditional Balinese house even though they are using the smallest size of space. All sizes are depending on the Balinese anthropometric measurement. The purpose of this research is to obtain the Balinese anthropometric information and data’s which is based on their sikut (measurement)in traditional Balinese architecture, such as: Sikut Karang or measurement of the land size for house, Sikut Natah or the distance of each building, Sikut Gegulak or the measurement used for the size of the building. Anthropometric measurement can be functioned as development and innovation also as basic determination for building measurement in comply with traditional Balinese architecture aspect for the small, medium, even the largest measurement, until the community able to choose or reserve the proper size as their budget and the needs.
