Abstract
Art education refers to a process of introducing art through formal and informal education. Any types of approachment might be applied to support this process, and one of them known as education media with variation and innovative value. This type of media can be performed in the form of documentary film.
With the strength of audio and visual may share attractiveness toward those who interest in learning art. The topic to be discussed in this article is Gamelan of North Bali, in which main data are taken from Document Centre of ISI Denpasar which analyzed based on qualitive- descriptive method. The data is analyzed based on theories of education media and documentary film.
The result shows that there are three stages in producing education media of documentary film based, such as pre-production, production and post-production.
